Hiding your IP address using a proxy

16

Recently I had problems with my blog. There is this guy who always spam my comments with various adverts. I tried banning him from my site but it was no use. One day he used a series of IP address, the next day he has a new one. This really bothered me a lot since it is very impossible to ban a person using a dynamic or changing IP address. I am not familiar with IP addresses since I am not really a web guru. However, learning the basics of IP Addresses taught me important information that might also be useful to you.

It is a common knowledge among bloggers and webmasters that IP addresses are always logged and recorded in every website that it lands to. Actually, I myself have an IP address locator and counter so that I can have a better statistics on who often visits my blog. But then again, I saw the wisdom behind every dynamic or proxy IPs. IP addresses are logged in specified date and sometimes the browser and OS that a person is using. These details are vulnerable since hackers and other entities can exploit them to their advantage. So one way of securing my own privacy is using a proxy IP addresses. Using Proxies prevents tracing your whereabouts, knowing what OS and Browser you are using and confusing others of the true IP address that you have. With this, you can protect yourself from prying eyes, stalkers and hackers.
