4. the act of saying something.

My mentors in the seminary used to tell me that “words” are very powerful medium of communication. It expresses your ideas and thoughts into concrete, sensible things that are often read or heard. Words we utter are powerful indeed because it sums up our current predicament, our current situation and the direction of our current emotions and thoughts. Words can create new things, it can start curses, affirm people, destroy reputation, create chaos, invent stories, ruin lives, pact an agreement, make empty promises, vouch for someone’s integrity, test one’s credibility, teach, reach, aid, help or destroy people. Words are two edged sword that pierces one’s heart: it thrust through the body and slits right out of the opening. It can injure and it can heal, it can build and it can destroy, it can compliment and it can criticize. And most of all, words are like drops of rain: whenever it falls from the sky, it cannot return from the clouds from which it came forth. In our every political scenarios, words help mold the lessons of history. These words shape the stories behind every drama and action that unfolds. The utterance of words by the people involved in every national event will either serve as a beacon of enlightenment, an instrument of deception, a torch for truth or a curse for generations to come. For words of every man and woman would forever be remembered, etched in the pages of every books of the nation’s history.
